5 Things We've Been Watching : October 2021
We love video here at PEG (obviously) and talk about it pretty much non-stop. So, we wanted to share with you five things that caught our eye, started a conversation or gave us a little inspiration over the last month.

Why it’s a thing: It's rare to see a GIF on our list. But we liked this for two reasons. One - we love a good look at lighting. And two - it's always nice to see an animated GIF used in a well-done, elegant way.
General Mills | THE REMAKING OF THE MASH: A MONSTER MIRACLE
Why it’s a thing: Everyone loves a good documentary series right? This spoof of a Behind The Music-style show, but featuring everyone's favorite cereal monsters was a great way way to celebrate the iconic Monster Mash tune. It has all the right documentary tropes mixed with the right amount of fun.
Whole Foods | Be Healthy, Happy and Whole
Why it’s a thing: This is a simple, fun, colorful spot. Using the stop motion and the negative space in the images to highlight the produce and other food felt unique, without being overly complicated.
filmlights | Lighting on Squid Game (2021)
Why it’s a thing: We never miss a chance to share a great side-by-side from behind-the-scenes on the world's biggest show. Everyone is currently watching Squid Game on Netflix and it's fun to see how these incredible scenes look while they are being filmed.
ESPN | NHL Theme Song Is Back
Why it’s a thing: This one definitely got us talking, but not all necessarily for good reasons. Interesting premise and storytelling, but things feel a bit disjointed and the selection of Justin Bieber as a narrator wasn't our favorite. What do you think about this spot?
