Covelli Centre Website

We had an opportunity to rebrand the Covelli Centre's online presence, and bring the feel of their first-class venue to their website.

  • Create a new website from scratch, embracing modern web design best practices
  • Attract increased web traffic
  • Add functionality
  • Create a user-friendly interface
  • Develop a site that was fully-responsive on mobile browsers
  • Plan the site so that it was easy to update and add events

  • Site map creation
  • Website design
  • Website creation and coordination
  • Ongoing website maintenance

The first step in this process was to have a discovery session with the Covelli Centre’s team and discuss their objectives for the new site, and also the biggest features and upgrades they were looking to make from their previous site. We were able to learn from a practical and brand perspective what their vision was, which helped lay the framework for the design phase.

Our creative team went to work, designing the site to match the arena’s brand. Because of the discovery session, and having worked with the Covelli Centre previously, we were very familiar with their brand, which made for an efficient design process.

We created design previews for multiple pages, including the homepage, event pages, etc. and presented them to the client so that we could finalize a design before the start of the website development. Our team designed a sleek, modern site that accomplished all of the goals that the arena’s staff was looking for, which meant it was time to bring the site to life. Homepage

With the website’s design now approved, we then worked with our web partner, Studio Ace of Spade, to build the site in WordPress, based on the layouts and designs that we provided. They built out the site to not only look great on computers, but so that it was also fully responsive on mobile devices.

Once the site was created in WordPress, our creative team went back to work, creating all of the event images, editing and adding photos, and creating all of the content to populate the site. For an arena with many events that are all different, it required considerable time to load the site with all of the content it would need for launch.

Working In WordPress

Josh, our Production Assistant, does work on the site, making sure that it's up to date with all of the content that it needed.

The website launched successfully and was met with rave reviews from not only the Covelli Centre’s staff, but also users who immediately were impressed with the new, modern look and functionality of the site.

Today, we continue to work with the Covelli Centre to update the site, create new graphics and content, and ensure that is a destination for fans looking for entertainment options in northeast Ohio.

Not only was the site a big upgrade visually, but most importantly, it also resulted in a large increase in users. In the first year after its launch, traffic to increased by 342% and the arena experienced its highest total attendance in its eight-year history. The site continues to evolve and is a big part of the arena’s marketing, ticketing and event strategies.
